Meet my new gull friend

Meet my new gull friend

My beach trip from last Thursday was good. It was one of those trips where I came back with so many photos that I’m not quite sure what I’d like to feature on the blog.

But I’m thinking this one’s an easy choice to give a quick impression of what was a pretty good shoot.

Sea gulls and the stuff gulls like to do can definitely help a shutterbug like me when I’m looking for content.

They came through for me on this trip.

There are times when I’d swear they’re trying to help me capture the magic.

There are occasions when I’d swear the gull-gods have turned their backs on me for good.

Well, this gull loves me. And I feel the same.

I know she’s winging her way somewhere beachside right now.

I’m turning over those daily entries on the calendar I carry around in my head, trying to settle on a suitable day to get back to that spot, to see if I can find her again.

My camera will be ready.

Ol’ Bulldog here has been known as the Gull Whisperer for a while now. I’m often amazed at how well they pose for me, and — as I’ve noted before on this blog — you never have to get them to sign a photo release.

This is a simple shot. I caught her up close. By the time I got her in my viewfinder, I’d had a beer or two and thought I’d rather have another brew than another photo. But I did catch a couple more good ones before I called it a day and wandered off in search of lunch.

Ben, beach, birds and brews; all the elements for a good beach outing!

Fave Fotos: Had Plenty o’ Fun at the Beach This Week

Fave Fotos: Had Plenty o’ Fun at the Beach This Week

Made it out to the beach twice in this last week! How cool is that?! With a little luck and wise budgeting, I’ll be out there again in the very near future. Yay!

I’m featuring one of my fave fotos from this recent excursion. I like this one a lot.

I’ll be putting up one or two others soon; it was a good mini-vacation and the pix are only one reason why.

More to come…
